A busy July!

July was a VERY busy month - lots of traveling and visitors. It was good though to see so many friends & family. Jasper is doing great - kind of changing his schedule up right now. Sometimes he feeds 5 times a day with 2 short morning naps and a long afternoon nap; other days he feeds four times a day with a longer morning and afternoon nap. So i'm just waiting to see what schedule he kind of falls into...I guess we're between dropping a daytime feeding. He still wakes up to nurse once in the night which is fine; i'm sure that will change sometime soon.

Jasper is rolling all around! He has rolled from his back to his tummy consistently for weeks now but just wouldn't roll back over. He would get frustrated and mad and just grunt until we flip him back over. So he has finally in the last few days started rolling himself back over. He is definitely log rolling all over the floor now.

Also we took Jasper for his 4 month check up today so here are his BIG stats :)

27 inches long

Wow, definitely healthy & growing! He still nurses 5 times during the day and once at night. Its the neatest thing ever that he has totally grown and thrived off breastmilk. How cool is that?! He routinely sleeps from 7 pm til 3 am, feeds pretty quickly, then sleeps til 6:30 or 7 am. He's been on the same schedule since he was two months old. Now if he'll just drop that 3 am feeding...the boy is obviously not starving! Hopefully that will happen soon but no complaints here, I think we're training him pretty well and he's earning gold stars so far.

Jasper's July Activities

We ran, or participated! is the word, in the Peachtree on the Fourth of July. My parents were at the finish line with Jasper cheering us on!



We took Jasper camping last weekend in Hot Springs, NC for Mallory's birthday celebration weekend. Happy birthday Mal! Jasper did GREAT camping - he slept in his car seat in the tent and loved being outside as all babies do.

We camped along the French Broad river - the first pic is my favorite. Long story short - the shirt is from a gas station in Jasper, Ga that a friend got for me from one of his camp counselors!

We hiked up to Max Patch on the Appalachian Trail - Jasper's first time on the trail. And Jasper's fourth state :) GA, AL, FL, NC...
