Camping at Vogel State Park on Sunday night - much fun! We borrowed a large tent that fit a pack n play and our queen size air mattress. Jasper did great and loved being outside. We parked the car and got him out and off he went. We wondered why he didn't seem to think: where are we and why are we here? Why are sleeping here? He didn't seem to think these things at all - funny and interesting!

Jasper loved being carried in the backpack carrier

Helton Creek Falls on Monday morning

We have been enjoying some very full summer days. We've been on the go morning, afternoon, and night! More than usual for us but we are enjoying all the activities and don't plan on being so busy in July (after the mission trip, that is). Mornings have involved: going to the park, programs at the library, going on walks, I'm doing a beth moore bible study on Wednesday mornings at church, etc. Last week and this week in the afternoons: I am doing six days of math review for the high school graduation test - my one little job for the summer. Last week and this week in the evenings: swim lessons at the pool in Dahlonega. Most days Darrell and I have attended lessons with Jasper while other days just one of us has taken him. He is doing great trying to learn to kick, float, and jump in. Next week we'll be done with graduation test review and swim lessons so we will be back to our normal, relaxing selves! Back to reading (Joni) and watching youtube videos (Darrell).

I love it! I've missed your posts as of late and I was excited to see your name pop up on my notification. I love the picture of Darrell walking in the water and Jasper watching over his head...making sure Daddy knows what he is doing!
Your summer sounds like ours - all great and wonderful things but my-oh-my we're tired!
Our first camping trip with Caroline it turned frigid the night we went and she sat up, between our heads, wearing her mittens, coat and hat, not interested in sleep at all - - just wanted to bat our heads all night with her mittened hands. Needless to say, a hotel in Chatanooga found our weary bodies around 2 a.m. :)
Great pics and post!
What kind of backpack carrier do you have? Where did you get it? Do you like it?
