22 and ABCs

Jasper is now 22 months old and I am now 22 weeks pregnant. Darrell is back to school, soccer, and student council activities. Jasper and I are playing lots of cars & trucks, choo choo trains, and basketball. I am starting to get a little baby belly and am surprised my jeans still fit but it won't be much longer. I am definitely feeling this May baby move a lot more just in the past week. I am still overall feeling good!
Picture above from Gigi & Granddaddy's visit on Sunday. Below is our January wreath - remnants from our tree. It still smells great but I haven't been able to keep the front door open much because it is SO cold outside and even the storm door lets in too much cold.
Jasper enjoyed finger painting for a short time - He mostly requested that I finger paint choo choo trains.
On another note, I got Jasper the leapfrog alphabet magnet set for the refrigerator. I have really wanted that for him so I got it off eBay and it was delivered on Wednesday. He has played with it at other people's houses but at our place, he didn't even want the magnets on the fridge for some reason. So on Thursday during his nap I gathered the mess of letter magnets and put them in order on the refrigerator. Later that evening after Darrell was home, Jasper went up to it and pointed to the letters and said his entire ABCs perfectly from A to Z!!!!! We were totally freaking out!!!! He has never even said ABCD or any parts of the alphabet in correct order. He occasionally would point to letters on his toybox and always say, "SPRSPSR" and that was it. Anyway, this was just totally wild. We decided that toy is amazing b/c he learned his ABCs in one day. Ha ha. Of course, I can think of about 4 toys we have that sing the ABC song, I sing it occasionally...but I can't say we have overly worked on him saying his ABCs. That is why we were especially floored by this performance! He somewhat did it a second time and I recorded it. How fun! I highly recommend the leapfrog toy! Darrell would also like to point out that Jasper knows 16 state capitals. We now have a map of the States with stickers on the ones that he knows. My favorite is "Hono wu wu"...though "To-pee-ka!" has always been a good one, too.

Very impressive - learning the ABCs all at once at 22 months! I know you guys are having fun watching Jasper learn so quickly. Glad to hear that your pregnancy is going well.

Wow! He's a genius just like his parents! I think To-pee-ka is Stephen's favorite!

Yay for Granddaddy and Gigi visits!!! These little ones need their grandparents to dote on them and spoil them rotten :-)
