March 6th. No baby yet!

That is how I begin every email and every phone conversation. No baby yet. We are ready and patiently waiting. We really think it will be in the next few days...we'll keep you updated! Until then...here are some random pictures from our life in the past few months that I thought I would share.

Here's where I spent the last 2.5 years teaching...next to Darrell!

Graduated with masters degrees, Dec 2006.

Christmas -06 in Arizona

New Years Celebration

Goodbye to the Corolla, Jan -07. 263,000 miles. It never failed to start!
We drove it til the wheel literally fell off (or actually, would not turn).

Typical weeknight:
Having the neighbors, Daniel & Mary Catherine, over for dinner...

Baby room pictures:

Ready for baby! I've gained 21 pounds. Darrell says: 20 pounds of baby and 1 pound of Reese's peanut butter eggs. I think its the truth!

The Corolla is gone?!? I had no idea. Darrell - you need to get a calculator poster hanging in your classroom so it can be seen from the hallway, stat. I love the Santa hat over the tv antenna thing. Joni- YOU LOOK GREAT!! Only 21 lbs? That's amazing, I gain that in a holiday season. Ok maybe not, but I could if I really wanted to. Come on baby Skogman, your fans are waiting to meet you! Love-Heather P.

Heather P, you are stinkin hilarious. Yes, ode to the Corolla. I bought Mal's '99 blue honda CRV so we are now a reliable two-car family...and just in time, too!

After spending the first 2/3 of the pregnancy incredibly nauseous, I do feel very uncomfortable and large now but don't care! I decided I used up all my allotted pregnancy complaints early on so now I refuse to lay around on the couch or complain...I did ask Darrell to put my socks on for me the other morning which I had told myself i would NOT do. But I can still have whiny moments, right?

You are carting a baby around in your tummy...the least Darrell can do is put on your socks. I say he can even wash the dirty ones and fold them and put them away too :)

Donna & any other families wanting to join the commune in our cul-de-sac just let me know...I'll be happy to knock on more doors and ask if they want to sell their house so our friends can move in! It works!

joni :)

p.s. another interesting tidbit: my friend Mallory was not looking to sell her car. I asked if she wanted to sell it and turns out, she did want to sell it...to me!
