Jasper is 18 months old

Jasper is 18 months old! That seems like a big milestone to me. He is such a great kid, still a good eater and sleeper! His appetite is finally decreasing a bit and he would rather be playing with his trucks than eating a huge bowlful of yogurt...but we still manage to get him to eat a lot of great healthy food. I took him to the doctor today for his 18 month appt. He weighs 29.5 lbs (90th percentile) and is 35.5 inches tall (>97th percentile). It is amazing to think in the last 9 months he has only gained 6 lbs but grown 5 inches. He is doing great health-wise.
Why is it still so hot outside? I feel a bit stuck indoors though we've made a few trips to the park in the past week plus the library programs began this week. Anyway, our computer has a virus and is not working right now. Agh. I cannot live without internet at home :) I am at my in-laws (they are in Vegas) using their internet and letting Jasper enjoy a different set of toys. So I did manage to still update the blog this week!
We went to Athens on Sunday and enjoyed time at a park that has a free zoo. Pretty cool and it is exactly what you expect for a free zoo. We had a good time and sweated up a storm.
While Jasper did enjoy the animals, he probably enjoyed watching Daddy play with this water hose at the zoo even more.

Once again, sorry for the poor quality - I just figured out that I could set the video part on our camera in a better mode. Anyway, this was cute and wanted to share - it is hard to catch these things on video!

Also, if you notice Darrell's shirt in the video (Beards, they grow on you)...when Darrell points to his shirt and asks Jasper who is this? Jasper replies "daddy."

I'm sorry I did not leave a comment earlier. Stephen and I laughed and loved the video, but apparently, I forgot to tell you what a joy it was!
