The Latest

Jasper loves to 'help mama cook' and he pulls a kitchen chair over to the counter all the time. I let him help the other night while making some soup. I cut up green peppers & onions and asked him to put them in the pot. He realized that picking them up a few at a time with his fingers was taking too long so he went and got his shovel and dump truck and would load pieces into the shovel, then into the dump truck, and then dumped them into the pot. Not much faster but definitely his preferred mode of transporting the ingredients.
The other day I was sitting on the floor of the den cutting Jasper's toenails and mentioned how I will need to vacuum soon. I was later in the kitchen just cleaning up when I realized that Jasper was gathering all his toys on the sofa so I could vacuum the carpet! He was even taking toys out of the toybox and putting them up on the sofa. It took me a few minutes to figure out what he was doing. He doesn't miss a thing!
Darrell put Eli's jacket on Jasper - this was about 2 weeks ago. When I showed Jasper this picture earlier today I said what are you wearing? He said, "take off, take off" which is what I think he said the whole time he had the jacket on!
Reading night night books. This is in the nursery; however, we moved Jasper to his big boy bed last Wed night and he is doing really well overall. A few struggles - mostly with naptime but he has done great at night. It is a big adjustment but he loves his new bed (mattress on the floor). I will take some pictures soon, the room is cute with 3 walls khahi and one wall painted blue.
A fun girls weekend in N.C. with unnecessary drama: pipes bursting at 3 am, little to no water pressure, an iffy water supply all weekend, and lots of relaxing - much fun! Thanks Mal!Pregnancy update: Everything is going well and I feel the baby move a lot now. I am 25 weeks and my belly is rapidly growing...plus I washed my jeans...hence I pulled out the maternity clothes on Friday and they are oh so comfy!
