We rode on Thomas the train in Bryson City, NC last weekend! We left Saturday morning, camped Saturday night, then went to the Thomas event on Sunday. Before our train ride, there were lots of activities and photos opps to explore. Above is Thomas made of legos which is really impressive. Below is our family photo while riding on the train.
We went with another family whose son is Jasper's age. They had fun watching their Daddy's work on the campfire and playing in the rocks and gravel at the campsite.
Baxter's first camping trip - almost 2 months old. Jasper was 4 months old on his first camping trip....those 2 extra months do make a difference. I wouldn't recommend camping with a 2 yr old and a 2 month old, but we survived and Jasper did have a good time!
After a little bit of sleep on Saturday night (in our huge tent), we put on our railroad gear and headed to see Thomas. Jasper was really excited to see Thomas!
Here is Jasper directing traffic (he loves to strike this 'directing pose' often).
Thomas is the engine that pulls these cars on the Great Smoky Mountains railroad. It was a 25 minute, extremely slow ride :)
Before riding on the train, we ate a picnic lunch under the awning of a store - perfect timing because of a rain storm!
More great photos of the boys here on Mary Catherine's blog!
