Baxter at Four Months
I tried to take a picture of Jasper every month for his first year in the same place - on the chair or sofa. Well, around 7 months when he was really moving, I realized that plan wasn't the best - sitting him on an elevated surface then backing up to take a picture. My friend Ginger used a car seat to take a picture of her son every month and I thought it was a great idea! But I had to pull the car seat back out to do the 4 month photo and am not sure if I"ll even keep this car seat around til 12 months...I've been giving away baby stuff. Like back in June when Baxter was 2 or 3 weeks old I gave away all the newborn and 0-3 month size clothes since he outgrew them. Now I have 2 boppy's, a car seat with extra base, bouncy seat....just taking up room in our small house...although I don't desire to have more kids it sure seems to make it very final once I give away this stuff! Hmmm, not sure why I'm holding onto it other than to just hold onto it for just a little bit longer. Baxter is such a fun age now and getting so much easier. If I could skip 9 months of pregnancy and the first three months of babyhood I might have more. I even love the childbirth part of it. I remember after having Jasper I thought, I'd rather go through labor & delivery 9 times before I'm pregnant again for 9 months. Fortunately, Baxter's pregnancy was a bit better :) Anybody need some baby gear that is in excellent condition?Reading books

Progress on side yard - just rye grass for the winter but it looks good!

I know the feeling...even though you know you are done having kids there is something so final about giving it all away.
