Jasper loves books and loves to read. It is the cutest when he sits on the floor and reads books by himself for periods of time. His favorite book is his Richard Scarry Best Word Book Ever.
Playing in Grandie & Grandpa's pool on Monday afternoon - he is quite a fish. This is the first time we used his floatie suit and I think it gave him extra confidence to jump around and go under. He is fearless in the water!

Darrell and I did a 3 day backpacking trip in Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock Wilderness Area in North Carolina last Sat-Mon. We had great weather and some beautiful views. My legs are still very sore!

On Stratton Bald
Some of the few healthy hemlock trees we saw - most were dead or covered with the
woolly adelgid.
This tree had recently been struck by lightning - huge pieces were laying 20 feet away on the ground. It was impressive.
We really enjoyed being in the woods for a few days!
